Agriturismo Pisa – Agriturismo La Serra agriturismo near Pisa Italy
Where Are We?
Farmhouses in Tuscany near Cecina. Farmhouses La Serra is right in the middle of the splendid Tuscan countryside, a few minutes from the sea and the beaches of Tirrenia, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and the most prestigious centres of art, history and culture.
Situated about 25 km. from Pisa and from Livorno, La Serra can easily be reached by car via the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno (S.G.C. FI-PI-LI or “Fipilissima”). Coming from Florence, you need to take the fork for Livorno (straight after the exit for Ponsacco-Pontedera). Continuing for about 8 km. towards Livorno you need to take the “Lavoria” exit and go in the direction of Cenaia and then Lorenzana until you find the signs for Ceppaiano (about 6 km. away from the Superstrada exit). Coming from Pisa, you need to instead take the “Cascina” exit and go in the direction of Lorenzana until you find the signs for Ceppaiano (about 12 km. away from the Superstrada exit).
Pisa also contains the most important Tuscan airport, which is connected to all the main European cities. If you prefer to arrive by plane, there are all of the main car hire companies next to the airport. Here you can choose from a wide variety of cars to suit your personal needs and arrive here in a very short time. If you would prefer not to hire a car and are planning to remain on site for all of your stay, we would be only too happy to come and pick you up at the airport upon arrival and drop you off there again when you leave.
Given the excellent location of the property, our guests can easily reach the main beach resorts in Tuscany (Tirrenia, Cecina, Castiglioncello and Viareggio) and the main tourist centres. Florence and Lucca are about an hour away by car, while in less than half an hour you can get to Pisa, famous for its Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower, and Livorno, a cosmopolitan city with naval traditions, home of the prestigious Naval Academy.
Those keen on two-wheeled transport can go to Pontedera and visit the Museum Piaggio>, created by Piaggio, producer of the legendary Vespa, and by the Comune of Pontedera and the Province of Pisa.
